Marc Peralta is the Executive Director for Best Friend Animal Society – Los Angeles where he heads up Best Friends program operations in Los Angeles. His duties as Executive Director specifically include the operations for the Best Friend’s Pet Adoption Center in Mission Hills, CA, the NKLA Pet Adoption Center in West Los Angles as well as leading the 75 group and growing NKLA coalition to make LA a No Kill city by the end of 2017.
Marc also served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer as well as interim CEO at the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PSPCA) located in Philadelphia, PA. In addition to his duties at the Pennsylvania SPCA, Marc also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Animal Care and Control Team of Philadelphia. Prior to the PSPCA, Marc worked in animal care manager roles at the Nevada Humane Society in Reno, NV and the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region in Colorado Springs, CO.
His leadership and team building skills are lauded in an industry where animals tend to be more important than their human counterparts. We look forward to hearing him present on customer service in relation to adoptions, how to build (and keep!) a life saving team, and how Best Friends is striving for no-kill in Los Angeles.
He is a son, uncle, brother, animal welfare executive and animal lover, music fanatic, sports enthusiastic, movie buff and proponent of a healthy lifestyle, and he can’t wait to share his experiences with you.
