Julie took her place at the No-kill table as the executive director of No More Homeless Pets in Utah (NMHP in Utah), in which the organization witnessed a 50 percent drop in euthanasia rates statewide over a 6 year period. In 2007, she joined Best Friends Animal Society where she serves as chief marketing and communications officer. During her years of work in animal advocacy, she has helped design and implement nationally recognized programs including The Big Fix (a mobile spay/neuter clinic), Furburbia, Strut Your Mutt, and the Feral Fix, all of which have saved countless lives in Utah’s homeless animal population.
