“The idea of no-kill can be overwhelming, but it can be done, and the AmPA! Conference will give you the knowledge to get there. Austin is the largest no-kill city in the nation with over 6 years of no-kill success under our belts. At the AmPA! Conference – we will show you how no-kill programs can be a reality for your community too,” said Dr. Ellen Jefferson, Executive Director of Austin Pets Alive!

“Using just what we learned from last year’s conference, we’ve since built new yards to start playgroups, implemented a Longtimer’s Lunch Club, started a no-kill initiative, started a running club for shelter dogs, made positive changes to our existing foster and volunteer programs, and started working more with the smaller shelters in our area.” an attendee from AmPA 2016.
