We’ve been No Kill for five (5) years now.  But it wasn’t always that way…

As soon we pulled animals from the euthanasia list, we became a foster-based rescue.  There was an intense focus on recruiting volunteers, fosters and adopters to save more lives.  Vaccines were given in fosters’ cars or held in a specific location as a clinic.

Adoption events were held in high foot traffic areas.  Fundraising was and continues to be grassroots.  The political fight waged on.  Dr. Ellen Jefferson examined the data to create programs that specifically addressed the animals most at-risk of being killed in the local shelter.  Here is the latest installment: http://bit.ly/2arSkQF
