Public Health Educator of Austin Animal Services
Michelle Dosson is a Public Health Educator for the City of Austin Animal Services and has over 15 years of experience in the public service arena. Her passion for helping animals and people started at a young age while volunteering at her local Cape Town (South Africa) SPCA, and she eventually began her career with the City of Richmond (VA, USA) Animal Care and Control as an Animal Care worker.
Michelle moved to Austin to be an Animal Protection Officer in 2008 and accepted her current position after a few years as an educator-creating and implementing programs and services for the Austin community primarily focusing on Spay Neuter Outreach for companion animals and the Community Cat Program (TNR), and ultimately shelter intake prevention.
Michelle lives in Austin with her two senior dogs Gwendoline and Drexil.
